My objective, across all industries and above all else, is to join a group of passionate individuals, who collectively form a committed team, with a belief in our ability to help change the world. I want to focus on inspiring humanity to make a difference, bring awareness to global issues, strengthen our overall impact, as well as motivating and empowering individuals to be the best versions of themselves that they can be.
In the workplace I know, team work makes the dream work, therefore I always bring a positive, flexible attitude to any group setting. I am focused, self-motivated, and independent, but I have been fortunate enough to learn firsthand that collaboration with creative, energetic people is the key to magnifying success. I want to be a part of something I believe in, involved with people who have the same ambition to drive projects forward and get things done, and be in a place where I feel supported by a group of like-minded peers who are also committed to making a difference. In exchange, I can offer an optimistic outlook accompanied by a bona fide smile anywhere I go, as there is nothing better than doing what you love to do. Productivity is higher where passion flows, and this is mine to share.
Above all things, I really am a dreamer. I genuinely want to create change in the world, as I really believe we all do, and I know this can be done by inspiring children and adults alike, to become curious, conscious, compassionate individuals, and therefore the most effective resource we have in making the world a more sustainable, unified, passion-driven planet.
I must say, I feel extremely lucky. I have been able to explore many facets of my passions, which should become evident as you explore this resume. I began in teaching, which took me around the world and back again. I was fortunate enough to teach across all grade levels, students pre-K through high school, and I have been able to travel across the globe, from Asia, to Europe, North America to South America–and everywhere on this planet I have found something to be true: where there is technology there is power, and with the right kind of power we are able to help change this world for the better.
What used to take hours with a trip to library, or days and weeks to transmit information across the world, can now be done within seconds–that’s a new kind of power that money can’t buy. We have the world at our fingertips, information in the palm of our hands, and an entire generation of informed, innovative thinkers who understand what’s happening at a seemingly intuitive level. Deep down, I believe we all innately want to do good, and technology is the bridge to connection in this digital age.
After nearly a decade in the classroom, I felt inspired to dive deeper into technology and web development. I saw how just by having a presence on the web, it made everything around the world accessible on a global scale. Anyone could create something. You no longer needed capital, you just needed the right idea, and a way to get it out to the world. Things could go “viral”, no hiding; huge topics like climate change, poverty, and politics, have moved millions into the streets. Information is more accessible than ever… and by simply being more self-aware, self-reliant, kind, and mindful participant in the digital world, you inspire others to do the same. Because the one thing more powerful than technology, is knowledge. And humans have more access and opportunity to seek knowledge than ever before.
Things can catch like wildfire, information can be shared amongst billions of people across a world wide web, and given the right tools, direction, motivation and dedication, we have infinite potential to make things happen in this rapidly changing world.
I have also figured out that it starts with me, with my experiences that have all led to here. With the help of young eager minds, with older, wiser humans who have seen it all before–with all of us… we really do have the power to make a difference.
Being a leader is so much more than just inspiring, it’s about teaching others to keep an open, growth mindset, identify what strengths they have, where their interests lie, and guide them towards success on a deeper, more meaningful level. It’s about encouraging those around you to look deeper, and make connections; find challenges and come up with solutions; to be considerate of the planet, as well as each other, and work towards leaving this place better than we found it. This is what needs to happen for a successful future—this is what success looks like for me, for all of us, doing something for the greater good.
